Electroscoot October 18, 2006

Electroscoot
is for all your environmentalists, or the people who just don’t want to pay for the always increasing gas prices here in the US. This light weight lithium ion battery powered scooter can range 12 miles to 30miles (20km-50km) with only costing around 50 cents per 30 miles (50km). The restricted max speed for this is around 18mph (20kmh), so it is classified as a bike not a scooter. So, no helmet is needed either, but here at Techiediva we think ‘better save than sorry’, so use the helmet. The battery can be easily removed and recharged in 6 hours. Plus, you don’t have to pay for parking!!  However, you will have to pay 1,500 pounds if you want it. Nick

German engineering into a camera? Yea, well, this is it!! The Leica M8 is the ultimate old school feel camera with the new school technology. From the front is looks like the classic Leica camera, but when you turn it around and you see the 2.5′ LCD, then you know it is a digital camera. The camera can store up to 4gb of memory card so you can pack all the pictures from this 10.3mega pixel camera. The camera is like the Hummer of all cameras because it is made out of magnesium alloy. Heck, the silent electronic metal-blade slotted shutter provides for exposure times of up to 1/8000
second. That is crazy!! Plus is has all the normal functions that a professional photographer would want. It also has the price of a professional camera starting around $5,000.  Nick

From digg.com one source mentions on trustedreviews.com that the reason why Steve Jobs isn’t worried about the Microsoft Zune is because he has the ipod touchscreen coming out in December. The interesting article with patent pictures looks like a good source, but you have to watch out what you read on internet.. I guess we will have to hear it official release from Apple. If it is true, you heard it 1st on Techiediva.com!!

Solar Backpack October 18, 2006

I love going camping, but even on camping trips, I still need to have I gadgets. I know that it is not exactly roughing it, but I still love the option of being able to play a game before I go to bed. The only problem I have found is how to charge my gadgets while I am out. Tumi has come up with a limited edition backpack with a built in solar panel to charge your stuff. Even if the nearest outlet is miles away, you will still have a way to charge your gadgets. The backpack comes with a removable solar panel for charging your phone and PDA, a removable, padded laptop sleeve, a special security pockets for valuable items, and even a water-repellent exteriors and zipper openings to keep all your valuables safe from the elements.  [Gizmodo]

Motorola E9 Gossip October 18, 2006

Filed under: Cell Phones — techiedivas @ 7:30 am

Motorola has been working on a nice little phone called the Motorola E9 that will step on some toes over at Apple.  Others speak of the phone as the "E9 Candybar Phone" and it looks sleek, slim and sharp!

Featuring all the goodies like a 2.4" display, a 3.2 megapixel camera, 50 MB internal memory, MicroSD up to 2GB, Bluetooth 1.2 and Wi-Fi connectivity which makes the phone one of those that I yearn for with an edge on technology.

Keep your eyes out for this phone.

Vx86004colorsIs the LG Chocolate phone the new RAZR wannabe? LG is following after Motorola’s footsteps by introducing their popular phone in a variety of colors. First came the black, white, and pink LG chocolate versions. Then pictures of a wine LG phone surfaced, and now Engadget Mobile reports the possible addition of red and green models in the works. We haven’t even seen the white chocolate phone in America, but we’ll wait and see if these colors ever reach our shores.

iPulse Bear Speaker October 18, 2006

Si222_pipHas there been a day when blogs have ignored the iPod? I really doubt it, but I think we should think about declaring an "iPod Post Free" day. What I hate the most about most iPod stories, is the darn cute accessories they release, which makes it hard for us to "shut up already" about the iPod. I was looking through the Sharper Image catalog, and found this cute light show/speaker system bear for…you guess it, your damn iPod. I guess, it’s a great accessory for the kids, or those of you who deep inside, are still Toys R Us kids. But who can resist the charm of a teddy bear, that lights up when it plays your iPod tunes. Nobody. The bear is available in brown or white.
