Glamapron2How many of you cook? Kudos to you. I don’t cook much, but if I did, I’d totally get one of these super cool aprons. What does this have to do with gadgets you ask? Nothing. Except, how nice would you look wearing this apron while using your cooking gadgets? All shallowness aside, I found this via  Gadget Chick, and thought some of you might like them.

Dress of the Future October 9, 2006

00350m Hussein Chalayan’s Spring/Summer 2007 fashion collection hit the runway last week in Paris, and Style.com was there to capture images of his futuristic dress collection. [Watch Video]

"The girl walked in and stood stock-still, dressed in a long, high-necked corseted Victorian gown. Then her clothes began to twitch, move, and reconfigure of their own accord. The mono-bosom top opened, the jacket retreated, the hemline started to rise, and—finally, amazingly—there she was, wearing a crystal-beaded flapper dress: a woman propelled through fashion history from 1895 to the twenties in the space of a minute. This was one of six incredible feats of technology and conceptual commentary at the heart of Hussein Chalayan’s show."

Cool Blue Bag October 4, 2006

Bag3Blue Ether by a Robert Foster of Fink Design is a beautiful concept handbag sporting a strong protective shell with "the dual functionality of a briefcase and backpack." I love the radiant neon blue within the shell that looks almost electric. I wish the design was more techie than it looks. Also check out the hip pods that could someday eliminate handbags once and for all.

Wallet 2.0 Simple October 4, 2006

Filed under: Fashion — techiedivas @ 3:20 am

Wallet_5_jpg_1 I wish I could do away with carrying a purse even for one day, but as much as I’d like to, it’s never going to happen. How many you of you gals out there has been able to ditch the purse? Geek organizers will like the idea behind the silicone and waterproof Wallet 2.0. It’s got a tab organizer making it easy to find your coins, bills, credit cards, ID or other stuff you like to carry around. Seriously, not the best looking, and looks more like band-aid container, but it seem pretty practical. If you like it, you can see more pics of the wallet here.

Photo Cuffs September 6, 2006

Filed under: Fashion — techiedivas @ 2:42 pm

Display photos on your wrist with special features.  The SMOY Photo Cuff Bracelet Collection offers choices for fashion that might interest some.  I’m not sure where this would fit into my life, except maybe to display my children, and how often do I go anywhere without them in person?

Stylish vinyl photo-cuffs that are laser cut and claimed to be hand-assembled by an artist could be useful I suppose.  From 1 frame options to 4 frame options (4 different photos to display), multiple colors and patterns and the functionality offered, this might be a good gift idea for the person that loves photography or an overseas family member (perhaps military?).

From $17 to $28 it’s worth a chance to see if they like it.  Not limited to photos of people, you could design your own with items or news articles if you are creative.
