Slackers TV

Filed under: Gizmos — techiedivas @ 11:34 am

Koppic_webreadyKopin’s Cyber Display 180K color-filter microdisplay is now integrated into Scalar’s Teleglass, to  become the world’s smallest video eyewear for video-on-the-go. For those of you who have a long commute to work (ie: not while driving, but riding on public transit) or have time to slack a bit around the office, this eyewear design projects images in high-resolution video, creating a virtual 28-inch TV screen as viewed from seven feet away. It can be connected to a mobile phone, portable DVD player or digital camera to project images in either the left or right eye, enabling the wearer to privately watch movies or TV, read text or view pictures without obstructing the other eye. Basically, they want to make it impossible for you break away from the TV, so they can continue to subliminally feed marketing messages into your brain. The evils of technology!

Swimbelt_1 The guys over at Method Shop conducted some testing on the SV-iMini, a waterproof and impact resistant case that holds your iPod Mini. The case is impressive as it resisted sand, water and sun. Perfect if you want to take your iPod mini to the beach, snorkling, surfing or scubadiving. They also have neoprene swimbelts and armbands for it if you just won’t part from your iPod during your activities. Price: $149.99 (yeah, a bit pricey)

Sanyo Digital Media Camera

Showletter If gadget designers want to know what really attracts the ladies to gadgets it’s definitely multiple functionality and a slim design. We love gadgets that perform more than one task, as we women do. We also like to pack everything “just in case”, so we need gadgets that we can fit into our bulging purse.  The Sanyo C5 Digital media camera has both, multiple function functionality and sleek-slim design.  It records MPEG4 and takes still pictures at a 5 megapixel res. It is so small, you can fit it in the palm of you hand. Now that is what I call slim. Price: $699.95

Filed under: Miscellaneous — techiedivas @ 9:53 am

HkguitarHello Kitty knows how to rock! That’s right, HK has a guitar line, here showing the polkadot version. Sort of reminds me of the sixties in a Partridge Family way. This is the "unicorn" in HK world and it seems Japanese folks can’t keep them on the shelves.  This particular one is being sold for $400, includes a pink matching bag, and they will even throw in HK picks.

Specifications: Construction: Bolt-on body. Hardwood Neck. Maple neck. Rosewood fretboard. 22 Medium nut graphite 1 5/8" bridge, Hard-tail pickups, Custom Fernandes Humbucker Features: Built-in FX processor, Self-contained amplifier with a speaker, headphone jack, and soft case.

Hello Kitty Rice June 29, 2005

Kittyrice_1 Although this does not fall in the "gadget" subject matter we like to stick to, I could not resist posting this one. Just what is Hello Kitty doing in a bento box?  Ahhh, Japanese  folks get to have all the fun. I’d like to see this kind of rice balls sold at the local Japanese joint.

ZEBRA MINI IPOD CASE June 28, 2005

CoachzCoach’s Zebra mini iPod Case made of imported dyed hair calf is now available  through their site. It features a belt clip and 12 inch strap with dogleash clip.  You can get the matching purse, also made of zebra striped printed calf and a soft leather handle, that is if you can afford to dish out $700 for both. A little too much for my taste, plus if I ever did buy a Coach bag, it would not be a zebra print.  I thought that went out of style back in the 80’s.
