You don’t know SKWAT August 31, 2005

Filed under: Fashion — techiedivas @ 11:53 pm

Blogaddict I am a sucker for delightful graphics tees that send a message, or just have some amazing art. This cotton tee reads Blog Addict, along with a trackback link, comments (193) and a Mail to a friend option. The company is called SKWAT, who has a great selection of Ts. They also have Afro-Diva, which I also intend to own. Now if they would only put Blog-Diva on a shirt, I would be all over it. Price: $29.60 for US orders.

MINI Coopers in Mosiac Fashion

Filed under: Miscellaneous — techiedivas @ 11:33 pm

MinicooperThe MINI Cooper is a great car to have in a city like San Francisco. It’s compact, modern and fits the urban lifestyle. The iconic car got a makeover from Bisazza,  who personalized four cars with 37,000 mosaic tiles. It took eight working days for two mosaic masters to create dresses made from four patterns: the Dama, Zebra, Tartan and Summer Flowers. The cars were on display in Milan, New York, and Berlin this past year in Design exhibitions.  Check out more mosiac-mini pictures at Bisazza.com.

Odiogo How many times have you been caught at work reading your favorite blogs? I  am breaking free of that habit thanks to Odiogo, a new software that converts all my favorite news feeds into spoken word. Odiogo extracts articles from blogs or news sites then converts them to MP3s so you can listen to them anytime, anywhere.  It’s like having a podcast of all your favorite blogs.  The software includes some 200 pre-installed feeds that include CNN, New York Times, CNET News, Wired, and Rolling Stone.  Odiogo lets you stay up to date on the latest stories during your commute, at the gym or at work which I enjoy because I get to catch up on my daily reading while I pedal to the gym. This program works with any MP3-enabled devices like your PDA, phones, laptop or iPod. The quality of the voice generated files is superb. The good folks at Odiogo even added Techie Diva into the preselected feeds, so if you don’t have time to read our blog, you can convert it and loaded to your MP3. I got to download a copy, and now I am addicted. Check them out at Odiogo.com. Price: $29.99

I Scream, You Scream, We all Scream

Filed under: Fashion — techiedivas @ 3:33 am

Screambodyimagesmall The only time I let out a loud yawp is when 1.) I watch a scary movie 2.) Road Rage 3.)  Tourette Syndrome is induced and 4.) when people sneak up behind me. It’s part of my training to fend off any possible attacks with the obnoxious sound of my blaring scream.  I hadn’t realized I am a pretty big screamer. Alas, there is a ScreamBody Bag, the first of the series of Wearable Body Organs. The portable bag muffles your caterwaul sounds in public places so you can feel free to vocalize without the fear of environmental retaliation and at the same time it records the scream for later release. The product is designed to be visible rather than being hidden or unnoticed, as this is key in their functionality. There is a whole philosophy to the existence of this liberating pouch.
