iRiver Pendant Flash Player August 23, 2005

Filed under: Music Players — techiedivas @ 7:36 pm

Irivern11 Would you wear this eye catching mp3 player-pendant around your neck? It’s a bit on the bulky side, which makes it a very unflattering necklace.  The new N11 player has all the functions its predecessor the N10 had plus FM radio, improved battery life, supports ogg vorbis audio format and a thinner necklace. It’s a good looking player, but it needs a longer chord or a smaller body. Available in black or rose red, the N11 comes in the 256mb and 1GB versions. [Via]

Juicy Couture iPod Shuffle Case

Saturdays are my "Shop Therapy" days. This is when I tend to go shopping and reward myself for getting through the week. (Don’t even go there girlfriend, I know you do too.)   So I go to Nordstrom to check out the designer handbags, and I find the cutest case ever… I mean ever! I want to get an iPod Shuffle just for this case. Juicy Couture has iPod Shuffle cases in metallic, leather and velour. They are very chic with the chains and signature charms.  The one I say at Nordstrom was velour green with purple trim. Their website has a Metallic Blue, Gold and Black. If you happen to own an iPod Shuffle, I highly encourage you to go check them out. Price: $38  Also at ShopBop.com. Juiceshuff_1Juicy1095313731l

Terror Text in London August 19, 2005

Filed under: Cell Phones — techiedivas @ 12:12 am

Girsms Police in London have launched a terror text service that alerts worried commuters via mobile phone alerts.
"Police have set up trials of the hi-tech system to send news and information appeals to the public following requests from those concerned about last month’s bombing…This service enables us to send information by SMS, voice message or email about this enquiry. The new system will support a dedicated phone line which has handled 10,000 calls since the first of the terrorist attacks. It is hoped that the public will also use the new service to report incidents and to respond to appeals for information."

This is the kind of thing that makes you say "Doh! why didn’t we think of that?". Definitely something we need to implement in America. Read Story.
