Touchscreen iPod Confirmed in December ? October 18, 2006

From digg.com one source mentions on trustedreviews.com that the reason why Steve Jobs isn’t worried about the Microsoft Zune is because he has the ipod touchscreen coming out in December. The interesting article with patent pictures looks like a good source, but you have to watch out what you read on internet.. I guess we will have to hear it official release from Apple. If it is true, you heard it 1st on Techiediva.com!!

iPulse Bear Speaker

Si222_pipHas there been a day when blogs have ignored the iPod? I really doubt it, but I think we should think about declaring an "iPod Post Free" day. What I hate the most about most iPod stories, is the darn cute accessories they release, which makes it hard for us to "shut up already" about the iPod. I was looking through the Sharper Image catalog, and found this cute light show/speaker system bear for…you guess it, your damn iPod. I guess, it’s a great accessory for the kids, or those of you who deep inside, are still Toys R Us kids. But who can resist the charm of a teddy bear, that lights up when it plays your iPod tunes. Nobody. The bear is available in brown or white.

Musical Rolling Robot October 17, 2006

miuro_articleIntroducing, Muiro (which stands for music innovation based on utility robot technology…just rolls off the the tongue, doesn’t it?), the newest offering from ZMP, Inc. Muiro is basically a 14 inch long egg-shaped robot developed with Kenwood that rolls and twists around on your floor playing music wirelessly wherever you happend to be.

Launched in Japan this summer and due for general release later next year, Muiro the musical robot comes equipped with a camera and sensor that the robot uses to receive and respond to the owner’s wireless remote and to avoid bumping into furniture and the like. Apparently, this little super-robo-music-rolly thing also positions itself at the perfect distance for your listening pleasure.

Muiro will retail for around £500, is available in white, black, yellow and red (sorry, no pink), and allows you to attach your iPod or stream music wirelessy from you PC. Obviously, this sleek little gizmo is designed for those with some extra cash and without other organisms competing for floorspace (like small children or playful animals), but it’s still a very cool, if pricey, gadget.

In the theme of Bono’s RED campaign here is a picture of the U2 iPod in a new wooden case in the color of red from Miniot. No it isn’t redwood case. It is a wooden case with a red tint. The actual wood for the iWood Red is made from padouk wood. Along with the wooden case are magnets to help keep the case closed when needed. However, you can personally change the outside the case with a monogram or two lines of text. The case is compatible for nanos and iPods starting around $95. Gizmodo

If this doesn’t make you think "all in one" I don’t know what will…the new ViewSonic ViewDock VX1945wm and the alternate ViewDock VX2245wm bring all the device connections I would need to one space.  These monitors have an iPod dock included in them, but that’s not all!

Includes a sound system with integrated subwoofer, 8 in 1 card reader, USB port, headphone jack and an integrated microphone.  They come in 19" and 22" models, as linked above, and have a native resolution of 1440 x 900, for the VX1945wm, while the VX2245wm has a native  1680 x 1050 resolution.

The monitors will cost you $329-$449, depending on chosen model.
