Musical Rolling Robot October 17, 2006

miuro_articleIntroducing, Muiro (which stands for music innovation based on utility robot technology…just rolls off the the tongue, doesn’t it?), the newest offering from ZMP, Inc. Muiro is basically a 14 inch long egg-shaped robot developed with Kenwood that rolls and twists around on your floor playing music wirelessly wherever you happend to be.

Launched in Japan this summer and due for general release later next year, Muiro the musical robot comes equipped with a camera and sensor that the robot uses to receive and respond to the owner’s wireless remote and to avoid bumping into furniture and the like. Apparently, this little super-robo-music-rolly thing also positions itself at the perfect distance for your listening pleasure.

Muiro will retail for around £500, is available in white, black, yellow and red (sorry, no pink), and allows you to attach your iPod or stream music wirelessy from you PC. Obviously, this sleek little gizmo is designed for those with some extra cash and without other organisms competing for floorspace (like small children or playful animals), but it’s still a very cool, if pricey, gadget.

Redipod
We heard rumors about this red iPod, ages ago, but who knew it was going to be in the form of a super sexxxy iPod nano. I’m so getting one this weekend. I’ve been waiting for a red iPod for a long time, because honestly, I’m tired of white, black and pink gadgets. All this red gear is just throwing me into full gadget lust. You can pick up your RED nano at the Apple store.

Devil Inside, Every Single iPod…

iAttire’s new Halloween costumes are out. This year, the theme is devilish. The limited edition slip-ons are made of crushed velvet, horns, and tail. It even has a matching pitchfork! I’d like to see a Playboy bunny iPod sometime this year. Besides, we all know "Halloween is just an excuse to dress like a slut", or so said Lindsay Lohan in Mean Girls. Don’t you agree?

Pink Pioneer INNO October 2, 2006

Filed under: Music Players — techiedivas @ 4:30 am

Pinkinno_3_lg I spotted the awesome Pink Pioneer Inno at Circuit City this weekend, and was very tempted to get one. The color actually looks a bit purple in the store. XM, Circuit City and Pioneer will contribute a total of $30 per activated radio to the SGK Foundation for the first 5k radios sold. If you don’t know about the Pioneer Inno, the radio is a portable XM device that also records 50 hrs of XM programming, MP3s, is compatible with Napster and everyone raves about it. Check out if you get a chance, and if you already have one, tell us more about it!!! I really want one, but not sure if I need one. You know how it is.

mStation for iPod September 21, 2006

Filed under: Music Players — techiedivas @ 9:55 am

Get 2.1 stereo via your iPod with this docking station.  Includes a 10-key remote and a snazzy look.  It’s round, sleek and modern.  The mStation Orb-W and the mStation Tower are two fantastic designs.  But, do they sound good?

You can control the treble, bass and volume via the remote in both designs.  The mStation Orb-W comes in two colors but is also expanding colors with the new iPod release, according to the new release email I received.

The Tower offers mid-range tweeters up high in rotatable posts and a subwoofer that’s dedicated and downward firing located in the center cylinder.  They claim the dedicated subwoofer is what makes this sound better than most systems.

This player won’t benefit the Susan G. Komen foundation, but it will benefit your eyes and ears. Aving has lots of pictures of the Samsung YP-T9B player in pink. Aren’t you excited! The tiny Bluetooth-enabled player will be available in 1GB, 2GB, and 4GB, and supports MP3, WMA, OGG, JPEG and MPEG4. It has a tiny 1.8 inch screen so you can watch videos or play games. Fortunately for your pockets, I think this player is only available somewhere in China.

Microsoft’s Zune September 14, 2006

Filed under: Music Players — techiedivas @ 9:21 pm

Zune_1Buzz is building around Microsoft’s most anticipated player Zune, I came across this two video clips, showing the Zune in action, one of the video shows how the buttons work, the other shows two Zune sharing music. Although the sharing is limited to 3 days or 3 tracks whatever the case…It has Wi-Fi, 30GB hard-drive, and rumor has it that, it has no wheel, instead it has five navigation buttons.
